Draw Basic Shapes

How can you draw basic shapes?  Use fruits!  Draw an oval by studying a watermelon.  Draw a moon by observing a banana.  Draw a sphere by reviewing the form of an orange.  Fruits are wonderful subjects for drawing simple shapes.

Paint: Our Universe

I took a painting class & had the opportunity to paint the universe.  I love to study the stars, planets, & galaxies.  I decided to paint the subject on astronomy.  I painted a comet, Earth, & star clusters.  I used a mixture of paint colors to create the visual effects.

Books, magazines, & videos can serve as ideas for the design flow.  However, each artist has their own unique touch to their work.  There's no wrong method to begin your design flow.  Start with your inspiration.  Write down your ideas.  Design your art with your creative elements.

Origami Card

Origami cards are simple to make.  Take a sheet of origami paper.  Fold all four corners towards the center.  Open the corners.  Draw your art inside.  Fold the corners towards the center again.  Place the card in an envelope to give.

Christmas Tree Ornaments

You can make holiday ornaments from cardboard.  Take a sheet of cardboard.  Draw outlines of holiday theme objects such as a snowman, holiday tree, or a gingerbread man.  Cut the shape out.  Decorate or design the ornaments with your favorite markers.  Punch a hole at the top then tie a ribbon through.  You can also tie these to gift bags.

Holiday Ornaments

Hand designed ornaments are wonderful gifts to give.  You can design on acrylic, glass, wood, or paper.  Use different types of material to design your ornaments for 2020.  Wrap the ornaments with holiday scrapbook paper.
