Rays of the Sun

Summer is almost here.  It's the perfect time to draw the sun.  I used crayons with three blended colors of yellow, orange, & red.  Start with a circle or a spiral then draw the rays of the sun.

Paper Folding

You can make a greeting card simply by folding any paper in half.  It can be a vertical or a horizontal fold.  Draw a design on the front then write a message inside.  You can use cardstock as an alternative for the card. 

Ocean Colors

Which shades of blue inspire you?  Use the blue shades to draw & color the ocean water.  Add fish, the sun, a few clouds, & birds to complete the artwork.

Nature's Artwork

Artwork can be inspired by nature.  During a hike or a walk, take the time to view flower petals, leaf patterns, tree bark, & even the edges of rocks.  Let nature inspire you to create an artwork.

Blooming Wildflowers

I noticed the colorful variety of wildflowers blooming during a recent walk.  I love the unique mixture of colors.  How can you use wildflowers for a craft project?  You can press the wildflowers to dry.  Once they are dry, you can place them on greeting cards or other artwork.

Spring Colors

It's almost the spring season.  Do you have a favorite spring color?  Find a colored pencil, marker, or paint which inspires you with the spring color.  Create an art, a card, or a journal entry with the art supply you choose.
