Autumn Leaf Colors

During a recent walk, I found a few colorful autumn leaves.  I took the leaves to press within a book.  The leaves retained their colors after a week of pressing.  Pressed leaves can be placed on greeting cards or on construction paper.

Simple Flower

I drew this flower using small circles for the petals.  Start with an inner circle then draw small circles around the flower.  This will create a 3-D effect to make the bloom of the flower.

Corner Bookmarks

Did you know you can use envelope corners as bookmarks?  Cut a large corner from an envelope.  Open the corner from the bottom which has a space.  Place the opened corner on the corner of a book page.  Decorate your bookmark or write an inspiring quote. 

How to Make a Simple Greeting Card

How can you make a greeting card from a sheet of copy paper?  Take a sheet of copy paper.  Fold the paper in half.  Draw your favorite subject on the front.  Write a special message on the inside.

Ocean Under The Night Sky

I love to walk under the stars at night.  The ambiance changes when the ocean waves crash against the land & rocks.  I painted this artwork to depict the moving ocean water under the night sky filled with stars.

Designing Bookmarks

Do you love to read books or magazines?  Bookmarks can be used for writing notes, thoughts, & quotes.  If you read text which inspires you, write the text on the bookmark.  Draw an art that relates to the text on the bookmark.

How to Dry Rose Petals

Rose petals can be dried to use in a variety of projects.  Take a rose then separate the petals.  Place the petals in between sheets of white copy paper.  Place a heavy book on top of the papers. Check the petals after one week to ensure they are flat & dry.  Place the dry petals in an envelope & store in a location away from natural light.  The petals can be used as confetti, placed on greeting cards, or arranged in a bowl.

Business Card Gift Tags

Do you use business cards for your business?  You can create a business card gift tag to add to your client's gift.  Punch a hole with a hole puncher towards the top of the card.  Thread a ribbon through the hole then tie the ribbon around the gift.

Bird Feathers

Do you have a favorite bird?  Use the color scheme of the bird feathers to create a palette of colors.  Use the colors to paint an inspirational piece of art.  Use different shades similar to the bird feathers to paint the artwork.

Rays of the Sun

Summer is almost here.  It's the perfect time to draw the sun.  I used crayons with three blended colors of yellow, orange, & red.  Start with a circle or a spiral then draw the rays of the sun.

Paper Folding

You can make a greeting card simply by folding any paper in half.  It can be a vertical or a horizontal fold.  Draw a design on the front then write a message inside.  You can use cardstock as an alternative for the card.

Draw A Doodle

Coaster Art
