It's wonderful to know that there are many artists out there. There's a group of artists in Uganda who create beautiful, vibrant, and unique jewelry out of magazines. The Meaning of Evening Light

My name, Shama, means Evening Light in Indian. I decided to use Evening Light as the basis for my art creation. For every art that I create, there's the idea. It's the light behind that idea that transforms my work into a unique piece. I'd like to share with you the journey into the world of Evening Light Designs.

I created this concept butterfly drawing. I later designed this on a 4 ft metal butterfly. It was for a 3 month outdoor exhibition during the summer of 2009. The Arts Aflutter project was sponsored by the Carnegie Visual Arts Center.
